Letter to Members/Meeting Confirmation

Dear Prospective Artist and Community Members!

I am currently arranging a project, hoping you would like to contribute. This letter is to describe the plan. I have lived in St. Thomas for the past thirty years, & formerly was psychiatric patient. Looking in the community for dedicated persons & organizations that would support in a developing arts organization.

This letter is to draw community support for an art network. Providing an atmosphere free of stigmatization, and function for those interested in the arts. In the the beginning ”seed” development . Contacting business', individuals, cultural organizations/associations that support art, and St. Thomas. Potential to become a 'committee member' strengthens skills, local culture and economy. Promoting the community and working on behalf of the neighbourhood to help make opportunity. Improvement; developing a fun and exciting cultural scene, encouraging community with workshop events, and fund-raising activities. Focus proactive, recommendations, ideas, share and contribute. The goal is to come up with a solid mandate focus that includes:

1) Form a committee people dedicate energy and resources volunteer time.

2) Contribute a network, and brainstorm. Coordinate supporting participants, to secure success, by assuring exhibitions, publications, & programming etc..

3) Create a budget by list/organize the necessary needs. Fund raise through events, donations, auctions, projects, and bartering with different organizations (equipment, scheduling, advertising)

4) Promote local talent, interested parties to participate, involve, and expand. Focus, overcome anxieties and stigma involved with mental health, art and community.
